I am so lucky!

I celebrated my 26th birthday yesterday, wow time is flying! I am so lucky to have a wonderful job, boyfriend, family and friends to share my life with! I am truly blessed to be healthy and surrounded by people I love.

Stephen took me to my favorite restaurant last night, Empire State South. We love the unique, Southern dishes there and it has an awesome view. See the view from our table below!

It was delicious as always! We started with the jars, pimento cheese with smoked bacon jar is our favorite :)
 my love :)
The chicken boudin was not the Louisiana kind I love, but delicious nevertheless!

After dinner my sweet, sweet friends met us at the ice bar to celebrate!

I just thought this is too funny not to share. Me and my sis at my horsey-themed birthday about 20 years ago.

Trip to Charlotte

Stephen and I went to Charlotte, NC this weekend for Kimber and Joshua's wedding! We were very excited for the wedding, but also to see Charlotte. We have never been so we left Friday morning and made the short drive up in time for a late lunch. We went to Cowfish in Southpark. Southpark reminded me of Highland Park in Dallas and parts like Naples, FL. There are alot of outdoor shopping malls and lots of new construction. The really nice restaurants are in strip centers and have amazing decor!

At Cowfish, we split the Ahi Tuna Nachos! They were to die for!

Next we walked around the shops and went in Dean and Deluca for tastings!

Then we went to Rooster's Woodfire Grille and met Jennifer, my mentor from Ole Miss!

We had the cured Duck and Cheese and Salami pizza! Both were awesome!
We had a very nice server who concocted some delicious martinis!

That night we went to the cocktail party after the rehearsal dinner on Lake Wylie! Saturday morning Stephen and I went to find a good spot to watch the Ole Miss game! Hotty Toddy! We went to uptown/downtown Charlotte and walked around on the beautiful Saturday morning.

Below is the area called Epicentre. It was very cool, lots of shopping and restaurants!

There was a festival going on in Uptown.

We found our spot to watch the Rebs! A neat bar called Blackfinn Saloon in the Epicentre.

After half time we went to another bar in Dilworth to meet my friend, Sarah!

That night was the wedding! It was beautiful! The reception was at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont. It was an amazing venue! The wedding was a blast, and the food and drinks were amazing.

It was so nice to stroll through the gardens.
What a beautiful place to have pictures taken!

It was overall an awesome weekend!
They even had an artist doing caricatures. Wait, do we look like that?!

Fashion's Night Out at Tootsies

Last night myself and the girls went to Tootsies for Fashion's night out to support ovarian cancer. It was a beautiful party! I had a great time with the girls and to top it off, I won the raffle! I won $300 of Laura Mercier makeup and a makeover with ten of my friends! Looks like girls night out will come again soon :)

Here are some pics from last night!

Anyone else go to a party for Fashions Night Out last night? Where did you go?

This labor day, I needed to get out of town.. and my dear friend, Ali agreed! So we took off to my mamaw and papaw's house, I wrote about their house here. It is one of my favorite places to visit, so quiet and beautiful!

We rode horses with mamaw!

Had a lovely dinner at the Hil in Serenbe.

Toured the Bosch house at Serenbe.

Serenbe is such a great get away from the city! The bosch house is amazing- if you get a chance go see it! If you want to buy it, contact me to be your agent :) It is listed at $549,000 furnished!
