Candler Park Bungalows

I have a potential listing in Candler Park, so I have decided to rediscover the area! I have been to the Vortex (the famous burgers off of "Man Vs Food) , the park, and other fun restaurants in the area but have not been in many homes in Candler Park. So yesterday I ventured my way over to the adorable area around Candler Park.

The Vortex (Best Burger in Atlanta!)

Little Five Points

Here are some of the adorable homes in Candler Park.

These homes were all built in the 1910s! Aren't they so cute, I love the porches on the front of them.

The great thing about Candler park is that you are 5 minutes from downtown, midtown, Virginia Highlands and Inman Park! Everything! You also have easy access to Freedom Parkway, which puts you straight onto the 85/75! Let me know if you would like to preview any of these adorable homes!

Charming Buckhead Townhome

I just listed my first house (that I got on my own!!) It is an adorable town home right in the heart of Buckhead! It is in such a great location, you can walk to Buckhead village, Tin Lizzys, Flip Burger, etc! It is at 12 Honour Ave...and it is decorated to the nine's!!! Even if you aren't looking for a home, look at what this creative couple has done to make their home elegant, yet cozy!

Now lets go inside! Look at this beautiful dining room, don't you love the painted crown molding?

I love the bookcases and fireplace!

It is the perfect balance of traditional, with a touch of modern!

The living room leads to the dining room and kitchen. Both have wonderful natural light!

The kitchen is my favorite! Look at the stained concrete countertops and farmhouse sink!

It even has a chalkboard wall :) how fun!

Downstairs is a storage area and laundry room, which leads to the drive under 2 car garage.

Now lets go upstairs! Here is the master bedroom!

And it has a two car garage!

Can you believe that this is in the heart of Buckhead and only $239,000!! Email me at ashley@beacham.com if you are interested!

The Atlanta Beltline

Atlanta has become the most populated city in the Southeast because of the Western and Atlantic Railroad system. The railroad's purpose was to link Savannah to the midwest. The railroad was originally supposed to run from Chattanooga to a spot called "Terminus" located East of the Chattahoochee River, but after further evaluation "Five Points" in downtown Atlanta was chosen as mile zero.

Today the Western and Atlantic railroad tracks are overgrown and no longer used for their original purpose. The 22 miles of railroad tracks around Atlanta is referred to as the Beltline. The beltline is a plan to develop the 22 miles of railroad into trails, parks, affordable housing, and a high speed train. This will connect 45 neighborhoods to one another and provide easy access to the city! This has attracted new developments and renovations all over the city!

Beltline.org says, "The Atlanta Beltline is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment projects currently underway in the United States."

Old Fourth Ward in downtown has already began huge renovations!

Look how nice it is already!

The beltline has already begun development in the Westside and Collier Hills. It will continue to Lindbergh, past Piedmont Park and back to downtown.

Here is a video with more information on the beltline:

If you would like to donate or volunteer to help with the beltline go to beltline.org!

Tour of the Sovereign Building

This past Wednesday I had the honor of touring the Sovereign Building in Buckhead with a group of Beacham agents. Erin Yabroudy , Janey Lowe, Elise Baumann, Susan Cross, Sheila Gray and myself got to tour four condos in the building, including the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles featured condo http://www.atlantahomesmag.com/article/new-avenues.

Built in 2008, the Sovereign building is a mixed-use skyrise.  The office space was bought for a record $158 Million- this is the highest office space purchase in the history of Atlanta! The soaring 50 stores makes this building the tallest residential building in Atlanta. The residential part of the building consists of 82 condos ranging in price from just under a million dollars up to $9 Million.

Now its time for some pictures!! Here is the lobby of the residential side of the Sovereign building.

Isn't that chandelier so cool?

I love the horse painting below!

Below is the view walking into the lobby!

Now lets go upstairs! Below are some photos of the bar and sitting area available for all residences. It leads out to the shared pool space!

There are Janey and Elise!

I love that the pool ripples and that the chairs are in the water! Never have to cool off!

Isn't the pool fabulous?? So nice!

And there is our friend GA 400! Can you see the King and Queen building in the distance?

Downtown view!

Now we will take a look at the condos!
What a beautiful living room!

I love that fireplace!

There is Terminus! Look how small it looks!

Another great downtown view!

The Mansion looks small too!

Wonderful kitchen, I really love the backsplash.

Can you see Kennesaw Mtn off to the left?

This photo has a little glare, but you might be able to see Stone Mountain if you look hard!

Doesn't this make you want a condo with these breathtaking views?? The amenities at the Sovereign building are endless! Wine lockers, workout facilities, dog walkers, the list goes on!
